Our Volvo truck shock absorber range is intended for selected FH, FH16, FM, FMX, FE and FL applications. Depending on vehicle specification, replacement options can include cab suspension dampers and chassis shock absorbers for front or rear installation.
FH and FH16 trucks are widely used for long-distance and heavy transport, where stable cab movement supports comfort and control. FM vehicles serve flexible regional and vocational roles, while FMX models face construction sites and severe road conditions. FE and FL trucks often operate in distribution and municipal service with frequent stops. Damping must be matched to the exact platform and position.

Inspection and Maintenance Tips
Inspect shock absorbers during scheduled chassis service and whenever the vehicle shows excessive bouncing, cab pitching, uneven tyre wear or reduced stability. Check for oil leakage, damaged bushes, loose fasteners, bent rods, corrosion and worn mounting points. Shock absorbers on the same axle or paired cab position should normally be replaced together after confirming the vehicle manufacturer’s service requirements.
